About The Club
Butte United’s mission is to provide an environment committed to the highest level of competitive soccer play by developing players’ technical and tactical skills.
We are the Competitive Club for both US Club Soccer and the Butte Youth Soccer League. BYSL includes Butte and Glenn Counties in Northern California. We are affiliated with the California Youth Soccer Association - North, District VI, NorCal Premier league (of US Club Soccer), and the United States Soccer Federation.
Advanced players from all communities are encouraged to try out for our teams. Butte United teams compete in the District VI Playing League and the NorCal Premier league, as well as tournaments throughout the state and beyond. Most games are between Chico and Elk Grove, and from Fairfield to Placer County. Occasionally a team from a neighboring District will be invited to compete in the District VI Playing League so teams might travel to Redding to the north or Stockton to the south.
Many of our players go on to play High School and College Soccer.
Under 10 through under 19 teams are formed for both boys and girls. Tryouts begin each spring in March. League play begins in September, but teams often elect to attend tournaments in summer. US Club fields games all year round, and Butte United coaches may elect, along with their teams, to play outside of traditional fall and spring seasons.
Club Philosophy
The Butte United Soccer Club is organized to provide advanced players an opportunity to play at the competitive level. It is our objective to provide the best possible coaches and trainers in an effort to help every player reach their individual potential and meet their soccer goals.
