1. Thanks to everyone for all of the hard work that went into the fund raiser. BU raised $1500. We will plan to hold it next year at the Elks Lodge in September

2. Thanks to everyone for all of the help and hard work for the boys October tournament. People need to commit to their share of the work.

3. Tryouts are planned as shown below. We will do a pre-sign up for everyone – get it posted on the website. Fliers will go to OTW, NV, schools, community TV bulletin board, newspaper.

4. Coach applications are due in January. Coaches should have parents fill out a coach evaluation.

5. Discussion on CYSA rules regarding braces, casts, and jewelry. CYSA rule is that no player with a cast or ACL brace (or any other) is allowed to play. Refs have the right to refuse player to play. No jewelry is permitted.

6. It was agreed that coaching requirements should remain at an E/D minimum, and higher age groups require an A/B – or equivalent license. Assistant coaches should increase education and get higher level license every year. Coaches are encouraged to pursue coaching education – CYSA courses are offered. BUSC coaching policy is as follows:

BUSC head coaches are required to be certified by CYSA E/D standard or an equivalent license, or an individual identified by the Board of Directors as entry level candidate will be required to continue progressive coaching education. All candidates are subject to the Board of Director’s approval.

7. Steve Duke is the Tournament Director for 2008. Applications were submitted for 2008 tournaments as follows:

Girls: September 27 & 28, U11, 12, 13, 15 Div 1, and U14 Div 3

Boys: October 25 & 26, U11, 12, 13, 14 Div 1, U14 Div 3

8. Mike Hernandez will be organizing a team parent meeting to help organize 2008.
