Volunteer Responsibilities

,

Butte United is staffed and run by volunteers, from those who set up and take down goals, to running the concession stands, to getting all players registered and games scheduled. We count on parents to help with many of these tasks and your coach will let you know how you can help.  Parents are expected to volunteer 2 hours for each player per season, not counting time to support local tournaments.  When everyone pitches in, the jobs are done quickly, efficiently, and within budget.  Without parents’ individual help, costs would have to be increased to hire people to perform our regular tasks.

Regular league game tasks are scheduled and coordinated through head coaches. When it's your team's time, do all you can to help keep our fields neat, picked up, and goals set up and taken down safely. Please remember, no kids, even big ones, are permitted to set up, take down, or otherwise transport goals (liability issue.) It always is a good idea to clean up a game, even if your team is not assigned this responsibility.  The Club’s goal is to leave the grounds at Chico High School pristine – even if that means better than we found them!

These tasks are posted on the Butte United Website at www.butteunited.com, as is the setup and take down team schedule.
